How to tell if you need a business coach
3 simple ways to tell if you need a business coach
So you're new to business and you're totally wondering if you need a business coach.
Or perhaps you've been in business a while and you've worked with a coach or two but you're still not sure things are going as smoothly as they could be and now you're wondering if you need to work with a business coach.
As a blanket statement --if you are curious about working with a business coach the answer is probably yes. However, I know it can be a daunting investment and a challenge to find a coach that aligns with your values and really understands the vision that you hold for your business.
As a matter of fact many of my clients don't have a clear vision for their own business until they begin working with me. It is incredibly important to cast a vision and to work with someone who can help hold that vision for you and also work with you to bring it into existence.
If you're curious about whether or not you should hire a business coach to help take your business to the next level I have created a blog post and a short reel and three simple tips that might be clues that you need a business coach in your life.
1. You have no idea how to market your business.
99% of my clients start working with me because they are frustrated and exhausted from randomly posting on Instagram and not actually converting that into magnetically attracting their most aligned clients.
If I had anything to say about the subject I'd say that marketing is much more than simply posting reals and stories here and there.
When I work with clients I like to dive deep into the full business structure in order to come up with a marketing strategy that allows them to have the most fun while also attracting the best aligned clients and customers.
2. You still think your ideal client is “everyone”
Another reason I like to dive into the full business model and structure of my client's businesses is because it's so important to really and fully and truly understand your ideal client or ideal customer.
Once we can understand the depth of who you are wanting to attract then we can start to effortlessly create a plan to bring these types of people into your business as clients and customers.
If I had one word of advice -- it's that if you still believe your idle client is everyone then you definitely should be working with a coach to dive deeper into that generalization and find out exactly who your ideal customer is because I can guarantee you it is not everyone.
3.You have no clue how to track your business finances.
This one surprises even me. Most of my clients have no idea how to track their business finances. They may be doing a Modge Podge mix of things trying to track things here and there but overall they feel exhausted, confused and totally at a loss as to how to track the business finances.
One of the first things I like to work on with people is explaining how important it is to have your business finances organized and in a system that feels good and makes sense to you.
This is one of my favorite things to teach, probably because I have struggled so much with money and numbers in the past. Now that I found a system that works for me, I am graciously and joyfully sharing it with every single client that comes through my (virtual) doors.
Still not sure if you need a business coach?
If you answered yes to any of the above scenarios then I would definitely recommend getting a business coach to help you with these things as soon as possible.
We can force our business uphill trying as hard as we can year after year after year --or we can ask for help and find the flow in alignment sooner.
We can save ourselves countless headaches and hours of confusion and we can also start feeling more empowered and more clear and confident in our business sooner rather than later.
It's also worth mentioning here that it's okay to work with more than one business coach as you continue growing your business. With big promises from marketing and business gurus out there we oftentimes think that we will work with one person one time and instantly start making seven figures inside of our business.
👉The truth is actually that most entrepreneurs (I would say probably 99% of them) who are successful end up working with multiple coaches if not dozens and dozens of coaches over the years.
In fact the seven and eight figure entrepreneurs out there almost always have a coach in their back pocket that they are working with to hold the vision for their business and bring it into existence.
If you're still wondering whether or not you need a business coach, I would like to leave you with this:
It's totally up to you and how quickly you want to succeed and how badly you want to succeed. You absolutely do not need a coach but it definitely is a lot easier and smoother with one; at least in my experience.
