Starting an online business can be super lonely. It can also be super confusing. But it doesn't have to be!! 😏
Whether you are full-on an online business owner or you have a brick and mortar store but you're wanting to move into the online space there's a lot going on. So first of all I would love to point blank let you know that marketing an in-person business is completely different than marketing an online business. There are different rules, there are different tools, there are different... It's just a whole different mindset, PERIOD.
So one of my favorite-- absolute favorite-- tools for learning the game of online business is the Wandering Aimfully membership. If you followed me long you've totally heard me talk about it. Wandering Aimfully... I've been a member since 2019 and I'm still an active member.
They are the most amazing support system for online business owners and I'll tell you why. There's a lot of reasons but I'm going to give you three reasons and stop there.
3 Reasons Why I Love WAIM
1. The community.
WAIM is a community of online business owners all over the world. There are people who are just getting started and have no clue what they're doing, and there are also people who have been in this game for years and they're still continuing to hone their craft. Wherever you're at in your online business journey there's a community of people for that and they come with a LOT of support. They're a very welcoming community. I've made some of my best true lifelong friends there. I definitely love the community aspect and I know you will too.
2. The biggest library of resources for online business EVER
Whether you're trying to learn SEO or email marketing or funnels anything related to online business, like making blog posts, they have loads and I mean loads of content on how to do these things.
I say loads of content. Because it’s MASSIVE. They have long in-depth informational articles, they have videos, they have three-hour training sessions, plus the community!
So for example, say you’re stuck and can’t figure out SEO. You have no idea what you’re doing wrong and you’re frustrated. You can go into the community, ask questions and people will give you real time feedback and also point you to some super helpful resources within the community. You can go do a training on this specific aspect of your business and then go back into the community and ask for next steps. It’s truly a really beautiful thing.
3. Small Business for Small Business Owners
I really, really genuinely love that this business is run by a two-person team. Just two, and they are huge and they're rocking it. I have followed these two honestly since before they were a team. But it's a husband and wife and they are just really genuine people. When you are a part of the community and you reach out you have a question, you talk to them. You don't talk to a VA or a robot or a phone service, you talk to them. and you can tell that they are very genuine, they're very heartfelt people and they put their heart and soul in everything they do. and so that's my third thing that I love about WAIM.
These are just 3 reasons why I love WAIM, but really I want to boil it all down to one philosophy of theirs that has literally shaped the way I do business and this is how I coach people to do business also. But they talk about this concept of 'enough' rather than 'more'. So most business communities out there-- most of the ones that I've been a part of --they're constantly encouraging you to get more followers, more clients, more money, more whatever.
WAIM actually has the opposite approach. They really believe in finding your enough number first and working towards that goal and finding your contentment there and along the way. So it's a big shift in online marketing mindset, which I totally love and believe in.
