Opportunities happen when you’re in alignment with your soul's purpose.
2 months ago I made a “fun” trip to California to visit friends. While on the trip, everywhere I went I told people I'd be visiting regularly soon and that my trips would be paid for by corporations who want to hire me for my art workshops.
Less than 6 weeks later I received two invitations, one from a private team at Google and another from a team member at YouTube. Both wanted to hire me and were happy to pay for my travel expenses. 🤩
This week I received the joy of presenting my work at YouTube Headquarters. I’m so grateful, yet I also know this is just another stepping stone in the journey. If you’re wondering how this happened, here’s my thoughts—
I believe this opportunity found me because of three things:
Being open to receiving. ✨Miracles happen everyday when we are open to receiving them and do our part to allow them. I've had a call on my heart for this work since I was 18. For many years I have walked by faith in this calling every single day to get to this point.
Living out the purpose God created me for. ✨ I knew in 2012 that I wanted to help people through my online blog, art and writing. I felt that God put that calling on my heart and it was such a strong, obvious call that I dropped out of college to pursue it (I did eventually go back and finish btw).
Building a business one step at a time. ✨Though I graduated with a degree in Public Relations, I’ve personally invested at least that much time and money into a non-official degree in online business, email marketing, SEO and a whole bunch of other things that it takes to make this ship sail.
Even when I have worked for other companies, The Sparkling Hippie has been a constant steady in the background of my life since 2010. That’s 13+ years of commitment, hard work and dedication!!

They say when you know, you know — that’s how I came about doing the work that I do. It’s been a wild ride to get there, and most of it required walking blindly - and I still am walking blindly every day—but that’s the grand adventure of following your destiny with open arms.
🌟Purpose is something you feel in your heart and you either choose to walk it or you choose to ignore it. For me, I've always known I’d never be satisfied doing anything else.
